This team was incredibly prompt, professional, and patient in answering all my questions and resolving any concerns I had. Their dedication to ensuring a smooth and seamless process truly exceeded my expectations. It’s rare to find such outstanding customer service, and I am genuinely grateful for their assistance. Thank you for making this experience transferring domain and host stress-free and for going above and beyond to help me!

Forced Upselling: After a year, I was told my account had reached its resource limit and was pressured into upgrading my plan. Reluctantly, I upgraded. However, a few months later, I was approached again and encouraged to upgrade to a more expensive plan. When I refused, they outright closed my account without offering a refund for the remaining subscription period.

Unfair Treatment: It feels like HostPapa’s priority is upselling rather than supporting their customers. If I choose not to upgrade, does that mean I lose the service I already paid for? This practice is incredibly unprofessional and unacceptable.

Renewal for a Closed Account: Despite my account being closed, I continue to receive emails asking me to renew and even offering "loyalty gifts." What loyalty? My website is gone, and I received no refund.

Read the whole Complaint...Think about whether Host Papa is right for YOU
I was away last week for vacation and just arrived a day ago back home. I registered a domain name, and then chose Host Papa as my webhost.
Trying to take advantage of the Black Friday Deals, I started the process and tried to pay with a prepaid Mastercard which was blocked due to security reasons. This I understand, and they sent me a link to verify it. Or if I wanted to cancel they would do so.
I explained and sent them a picture of the front of the Mastercard, and then tried the link they sent me. Unfortunately, on that link, your verifying 4 different items, one of which is not a Credit Card. I emailed and let them know, and they said the picture I sent in was enough to verify and create the account and register as a client of their service.
I said that I would rather cancel the service, unless they could offer me something on top of the black friday deals.
I went back and forth a couple of times, as their Customer Service Representatives explained I was already being offered Black Friday Deals, and some of the perks that came with it.
As well a Billing Manager by the name of Alina emailed me as well. I explained the same thing, and finally after 12 hours of trying to register to become a webhost client of Host Papa, they finally cancelled my order and told me it would be 3-5 Business days before I would see the funds transferred back to my credit card.
I explained to them, if this is the hassle with just trying to Register and become a Webhost Client, what will it be like if I need Support from their Team if something goes wrong or I have questions?
I have all the emails, and then time stamps from them if they wish to claim otherwise. As well Alina, I did email you back, and I thank you for your no response. As a manager, I would think you could be a little more professional. I understand your a busy person, being a manager. But its also about respect.

With all this being said, I will miss out on the Black Friday Deals, as well as the Cyber Monday Deals. Thank you Host Papa, this will be cross posted as a warning to others.

"Have a great day."

I was concerned when papa.com notified me that my accounts were being migrated to a new server. I've been out of IT/Unix for over a decade and papa.com runs Linux, so I dreaded the re-familiarization process. With great reservation, I upgraded my prior services that were a tad more expensive for my combined accounts and not sure it was a good idea.

Wow, was I wrong. The new set-up is far easier than the old one, there are far more options, all accounts are combined in my primary domain, and it's stunningly easier. More options, more space, I can manage the accounts' web servers, email and users quickly, and it's exceeded my expectations! I can manage everything from the user interfact/MyPanel, or from the linux command line after ssh-ing in.

But even better: Several different techies dealt with my panic, concerns, questions, and other issues I bugged them with constantly over two weeks. Their customer service is the best I've even encountered:

**They were patient, friendly, and tolerated my endless emails for help.

**They were pro-active, almost like mentors, and fully explained what they were doing and how I could set up and re-config my various accounts.

**They were immediately responsive to my requests for help, almost faster than I could keep up with.

In short, they were unbelievably competent and walked me through everything.

Shorter version: I'd highly recommend papa.com's services and especially their tech support. They all deserve a raise!!

As a business owner I had a webmaster who handled all the domains and such. When she died I was 'stuck' since I didn't have a clue what to do with this stuff! HostPapa has been invaluable to me and my business! When I reached out to them, each time they promptly responded and were able to resolve my problem, going far & above what was expected of them as my hosting company! I'm now retired and they are, once again, helping me as I close down the domains! If you're in need of a hosting company, HostPapa is the best!

Charged with setting up a website for our condo, on a tight budget, I found Hostpapa to be a great place to start. I had a basic knowledge of creating a website, but needed help from time to time. Hostpapa support staff were responsive, quick, and always came up with an answer. Second to none! I can highly recommend them for your next online experience.

I have noticed than many customers complaining about these guys that tend to charge your card without any consent. Be very careful with this company, as they have your card on file they can charge as much as they want. Happens to me as well, they charge my card without any problems. Stay away from them
